Application Development Tool for Windows Mobile/Windows CE
Overview
The application development tool for Windows Mobile/Windows CE (MPrint & PocketJet SDK for Windows Mobile) introduced here is a development tool compatible with each series of Microsoft mobile OSs (Windows Mobile/Windows CE).
MPrint & PocketJet SDK for Windows Mobile Ver.4.1.0
The MPrint PocketJet SDK for Windows Mobile is a tool to enable printing from your PDA (equipped with Windows Mobile 6 Standard, Windows Mobile 6 Professional, Windows Mobile 6 Classic, Windows Mobile 5.0, or Windows CE 5.0) to our products of the MPrint, PocketJet, and RJ series.
You can incorporate a print function into an application you already use that allows printing from Brother products.
- * To develop an application by using the MPrint & PocketJet SDK for Windows Mobile, programming knowledge is required.

Development tool
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 or Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 is required.
PC specs are required enough to run above development tools.

Note)
The MPrint PocketJet SDK for Windows Mobile includes no development environment. Download a necessary development environment (Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK, etc.) from the Microsoft download site.
You also need to purchase a development environment for programming (Visual Studio 2005 including Visual C++ 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 including Visual C++ 2008) separately.

- - Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK, Windows Mobile 6 Professional SDK, Windows Mobile 6 Standard SDK, or Windows CE standard SDK is required.

To use the following functions on Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Visual C++ 2008, open [Project Properties], select [Configuration Properties] - [C/C++] [Language], and set [Treat wchar_t as built in type] to [No (/Zc:wchar_t-)].

- - The supported products of MPrint & PocketJet SDK for Windows Mobile are listed on the MPrint product website (MW-260, MW-140BT, MW-120, and MW-100e). For host-specific problems, contact each host manufacturer.
- - The MPrint & PocketJet SDK for Windows Mobile is not compatible with the .NET Compact Framework. For the NET Compact Framework environment, see Development environment for Microsoft .NET Compact Framework.
- * Not all Windows CE 5.0 terminals will be guaranteed because there are large difference by terminal. Please contact us separately.

- - Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK, Windows Mobile 6 Professional SDK, Windows Mobile 6 Standard SDK or Windows CE standard SDK is required.
- - For the software installation method, refer to the installation manual supplied with the software.
Restrictions
The memory capacity for Windows Mobile is smaller than PC, therefore the full size which is over 10MB sized PDF can not be printed because of an insufficient memory error.
Even though the under 10MB sized PDF, if the content is one page is complex, can not be printed because of an insufficient memory error.
